Made it up to the mtn for a groomer run on tele skiis a couple of days ago and all I got to show for it is this picture of the worlds cutest pain in the ass. Tele’s are nice. The difference between skinning up, & dropping knees down, and snow-trudging up & snow boarding down is similar to the difference between dragging knuckles and sipping tea.
Part way down the hill, I stopped and talked with an 18 year vet of tele methods. He informed me of when to drop the knee back and that, made all the difference in the world. Tomorrow, I hope to get up and do a few runs via the lifts. Once I get some confidence, I can’t wait to head into the I.B. with tRoy and others. Can’t wait!
